By March 2008, the airline industry began raising fees for luggage, pets, carry on's, fuel surcharges and rolled back on perks of all kinds. Hotels, resorts and cruise lines charged additional fees to make up for the higher costs associated with fuel scaring everyone away from traveling.  By September 2008, fuel prices bagan dropping opening up a gradual trend back to travel, but not enough.  Unemployment, the stock market and the financial banking crises sky rocketed in the U.S. then spread across the globe causing a sharp decline in all industries.  Now that the fuel prices have stabelized, prices for travel have dropped dramatically opening up opportunities we all haven't seen in decades.  We created this page so travelers could read relevant news feeds on travel related issues that will hopefully pump some hope back into the travel industry.

We scour the Internet looking for travel related articles and will post a short description with a link to where you can read the entire story. Although you may read in some circles that the economy is in dire straights, remember, when the economy takes a down turn, that opens the door to unbeleivable travel deals on cruise trip packages to the Caribbean, Mexico and all points in between. We are now seeing airfare prices cut in half, 20% to 40% off hotels and seaside resorts and if things keep going in the direction the experts are claiming, 2009 will be an interesting and very popular year in the travel industry to go just about anywhwre you previously could not afford to go to.
